Arwel Hughes. Goalkeeper. Born 27/08/81 in St. Asaph. Commands the penalty area and his defenders. Liverpool fan. Previous club Llandyrnog.

 

Jamie Hobson. Midfield / Right Back. Born 10/12/1983 in St. Asaph. Everton fan Jamie is in his 4th season with Denbigh Town and has proved to be an important member of the squad. Hobbo will run and work all day. Designated penalty taker, Jamie loves to hit the net and has scored some memorable goals from long range. Former clubs include Rhyl, Halkyn and Rhuddlan; he possesses an infectious sense of humour which belies a sharp soccer brain.

 

Rob Render. Defender. Born 21/03/83 in St. Asaph. Rob was a member of the Prestatyn team that won the Welsh Alliance in 2006 and more recently played for Ruthin. Rob supports Everton.

Jamie Duffy. Centre Back. Born 08/05/85 in St. Asaph. Jamie Duffy is a very capable central defender who is rock solid in the air and efficient on the deck. Jamie is always likely to pop up with a goal from set pieces as well. Played for Rhyl and made 15 appearances in the Welsh Premier with Prestatyn and also had a loan spell at Central Park during 2008 / 2009 season. Jamie supports Man Utd.

Mike Sharples. Centre Half. Born 23/05/89 in St. Asaph. Previous clubs include Ruthin and Llandyrnog. Mie is an Everton fan.

 

Miles Todd. Central Defender / Midfield. Born 26/11/87 in St. Asaph. Fierce competitor but also shows immense composure in possession. Miles is a Liverpool fan whose previous clubs include Llandyrnog and Buckley.

 

Bryn Jones. Central Defender / Midfield. Born 26/04/84 in St. Asaph. Bryn has played for Ruthin and Bala where he won the Cymru Alliance League Cup and the North East Wales Challenge Cup. Bryn supports Wrexham.

 

Adrian Hoyle. Centre mid / left mid. Born 20/12/83 in Stockport. Cultured left foot which creates openings for team mates. Adrian has Welsh Premier experience with Prestatyn. Liverpool fan.

 

Darren Cassidy. Utility Born 19/05/84. Born in St. Asaph and living in Rhyl, Darren is proving to be a handful for opponents defences. He is 6ft tall and weighs 11 and a half stone. Former clubs are Prestatyn Town, Llandudno Town and Halkyn United. Darren supports Newcastle United.

 

Paul Edwards. Midfield. Born 26/03/83 in St. Asaph. This former Denbighshire Schoolboys player loves nothing better than to command the midfield, and enjoys spraying the ball around and looking to feed his forwards. Weighing 12 Stone and standing 5 foot 9 inches, Paul's previous clubs include Ruthin Town and Trefnant Village. Liverpool fan.

Kevin Evans. Midfield. Born 21/05/82 in St. Asaph. Mister Dependable, a no nonsense midfielder whose classy skills allow quick breaks from defence to attack. Strong in the tackle. He displays a calmness under pressure and has a never say die attitude. Spurs fan whose previous clubs include Ruthin and Llandyrnog.

Liam Jones. Central / Right Midfield. Born 06/01/87 in St. Asaph. Previous clubs include Ruthin and Colwyn Bay. Liam supports Man Utd.

Craig Wilkinson. Midfielder. Born.03/08/83 in Liverpool. Played for Llandyrnog and gained Welsh Premier experience with Cefn Druids and Welshpool also played for Preston.

Stuart Vernon. Right / Left midfield, Born 20/12/87 in St. Asaph. Stuart left Newtown to join Denbigh Town in January 2009 and has signed for his hometown club this season, having played 5 (+10) matches, scoring once. Stuart returned to the Welsh Premier League when Darren Ryan signed him to play for Newtown in July 2008. He began the 2007/08 season with NEWI Cefn Druids but after just three games, he left the Ancients to re-join Llandyrnog Utd. Stuart had only joined the Druids in August 2007 from Welshpool Town and he made his debut against TNS in the Season's opener at Plaskynaston. Previously, he signed for Welshpool in August 2006 as a promising eighteen year old. The St. Asaph born winger made his Welsh Premier debut in the opening weekend of the 2006/07 season in the Lilywhites defeat at Porthmadog as a substitute.

Ian Evans. Striker. Born 15/09/79 in Ruthin. Ian is in his 4th season at Denbigh Town and is a concussive scorer, in 2005-06 scoring 34 league and cup goals for the Town. A quiet gentleman off the field, Ian is a 110 percent terrier on it and never fails to give less than everything. Ian is a Man United fan.  Previous clubs include Llandyrnog, Ruthin and Llanrhaeadr.                                                                                                                                                                   

Andy Booker. Left Wing / Striker. Born 27/09/86 in St. Asaph. Andy has excellent ball control via a sweet left foot. Previous clubs include Rhuddlan and Rhyl. Andy has played for North Wales Coast FA from U’12’s to U19’s. Andy supports Man Utd.

Tommy Mutton. Originally with Denbigh Town, he had a brief spell at Swansea City and also played for Bangor, Rhyl and Caernarfon Town before joining Connah's Quay in 2002/3. He was re-signed by John Hulse at Rhyl in the close season of 2005 but due to limited opportunities at Belle Vue, he was back on Deeside in January 2006. He again left Nev Powell's team to join Unibond League Hednesford Town in June 2006, but that move collapsed and he returned to the Nomads.

Steve Jones Manager. A legend in North Wales soccer circles. Steve had great success as centre forward for Colwyn Bay & Rhyl FC and was one of the most feared strikers in the history of North Wales Football, having also served Bangor City, Flint Town & Prestatyn Town. Born 14th January 1965 in St. Asaph, he stands 6'1" and weighs in at 14st 3lb.

Dean Martin. Dean is part of the management set - up at Central Park. This former tough tackling full back is a football man through & through, and likes nothing better than passing on his experience and enthusiasm for the game to his young charges. Dean is former Colwyn Bay, Bangor City and Rhyl FC Manager, though is probably best known as part of a superb Rhyl FC side in the early 1980s. A consummate professional in all but name, Dean can also be found putting the players through their paces during the warm up prior to kick off.
